Kari Samantha (born on April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is an American actor and singer. Wuhrer began her acting career as a teenager. Her most well-known role was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. Her father was the eldest of her three siblings. As a teenager she was a nightclub performer when she escaped from her home. From the Wooster School, at the age of thirteen She began her studies in the art of drama. After that, she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, under the famous instructor Uta Hagen.
