Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington works as an writer, journalist, TV host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and moved to England at the age of sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. As the first foreign student to be elected president in the famous debate club The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take on the role. Being a conservative syndicated blog when she graduated, she became the voice of Huffington Post. Her celebrity status helped her by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna was first noticed during 2003 when she volunteered for California's recall election, in the place of Governor Davis. Alongside this, she led a Detroit project that promoted the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on its list for the Most Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her president of the media group, which also included other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant. While she was very close to her father, it was the relationship she shared with her mother that formed her life. She displayed leadership qualities from the beginning. When she was sixteen, she left America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies she joined the Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman and the sole foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. In the years following after graduation she was a critic columnist and television host. In addition, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
