Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, philanthropist and television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she relocated to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first ever foreign-born student to be elected president in the famous debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took over the presidency. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she was able to be a voice of the Huffington Post. Arianna was able to attract numerous prominent contributors to post their thoughts regarding politics and culture. Arianna's popularity started in 2003, after she was a candidate for an independent for the California recall election to succeed the then governor Davis. Apart from this she also led a Detroit project that promoted the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. named her president of their media group in 2011 after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included additional AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli the other, both of whom are journalist and management consultants. While she enjoyed a strong relationship with both of her parents, it was their bond that helped shape her. She showed leadership traits even in her early years. When she was in her 16th year she moved to Britain to pursue her studies and was enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. She became a writer, a critic as well as a host on TV and columnist upon her graduation. Her appearance in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She began to write books and enlisting his assistance for editing.
