Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up alongside 12 other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother allowed her to escape the harsh realities of everyday life. Her songs were written before she learned to write or read. After 8 years of age, she had her very first guitar. In the age of 11 when she was 11, she began singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. She recorded her first album during the same year with Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. The singer established a name for herself locally while still in high school but she dreamed of a bigger stage. When she was graduating in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to join his syndicated show at this point. Parton joined Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing with RCA Records. In 1974, she quit Wagoner's show due to the commercial success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner was the one to write"I Will Never Love You and saw it climb to Number. 1. for the first time in 1974.
