Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the America's sweetheart when she was crowned American Idol in the first season. Her win was not only hugely successful, but it earned her a recording contract for several albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records. In the years since, she's recorded numerous studio albums. Three of which topped the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just missed the coveted spot. Her name is among the top artists who originate from the American Idol series. As her career progressed it was evident that she experimented with new themes and styles of music. Sometimes, she co-wrote songs in order to express her thoughts. The singer received critical acclaim as well as several prestigious awards for her individuality and singing prowess. The most notable accomplishment is the fact that she was awarded 3 Grammy awards. Alongside her music professional career, she has had a stint in TV and film. She has also written the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with numerous charities.
