Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director and singer, is also an actress. She's a beautiful, intelligent actress who inspires many Asian actors to be successful in Hollywood. Following a string of appearances on popular television series, she became famous when she was cast in The Ally McBeal legal comedy where she was Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She then delivered a superlative performance in the role of Japanese crime lord, O-RenIshii as Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the meantime, she also played part in the leading roles of some film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she began to play characters that were prominent in animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen movie, did not bring about the positive results. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her find herself. Liu picks her roles with care so as to avoid being stereotyped in a highly competitive field. Even though she's proud her roots, she does not let it limit her creativity.
