Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over every corner of the globe. Swift dropped country as if it was another layer and proved that she is perhaps the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. A person who has the ability to tap into the mood of times to make her music personal, and sing in the other direction. This was evident in her early hits including the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering who she was and in the process finding a mass audience. Fearless was an enormous success not just in the US with the Top Ten singles Love Story and Belong with Me helped it to achieve six platinum records however, it also swept the world. It was a huge success in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. Swift's next album, Speak Now, released almost two years after the debut, further consolidated this success. It propelled Swift to the heights of fame. She grew in popularity through her subsequent three albums: Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift became a household name within the genre she was a part of. Even though she had slowed the production of her folklore album, and Evermore releases in 2020 she was in the forefront of pop music.
